3 ► Formula 1 is the fastest sport in the world and people are starting to pay a lot of attention to the sport. Formula 1 is a sport that involves technology and creativity. A formula 1 team needs to spend millions of dollar on research and development of the car. Many engineers are hired to design a formula 1 car to ensure the car perform to its limits. Design and aerodynamic of the car play the biggest role in order for the car to reach its maximum speed beside a fast engine. ► As engineering student we are interested in the design of a formula 1 car. That is the reason why we choose to draw a formula car for our Pro-E project. We would like to take up the challenge to draw a formula 1 car as it is not an easy task. By drawing the car we got the opportunity to understand the design of the car better. We also have the opportunity to explore the Pro-E program, as we believe with this program; we are able to draw all sorts of objects. ► Our group spends about a week in order to the get the full measurement of the car. We spend a lot of time in taking the measurement because there are a lot of small details that we need to take to account. Measurements of the car are very important, as we need to assemble the car at the end. After that we spend another week to distribute the parts that our group member needs to draw. Each of our group members needs to complete 2 parts of a formula car. The 8 components that out group draw are front wing, rim, tyre, rear wing, engine cover, side mirror, suspension and steering.
