2 “It’s Going to Happen” Luke 13:22, 31 - 34

3 22 Then Jesus went through the towns and villages, teaching as he made his way to Jerusalem. 31 At that time some Pharisees came to Jesus and said to him, “Leave this place and go somewhere else. Herod wants to kill you.” He replied, “Go tell that fox, ‘I will drive out demons and heal people today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach my goal.’

4 Luke 31 – 34 cont’d 33 In any case, I must keep going today and tomorrow and the next day – for surely no prophet can die outside Jerusalem! 34 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but your were not willing!

5 Living Bible Luke 13:31 - 34 A few minutes later some Pharisees said to Him, “Get out of here if you want to live, the King Herod is after you!” Jesus replied, “Go tell that fox that I will keep on casting out demons and doing miracles of healing today and tomorrow; and the third day I will reach your destination. Yeah, today, tomorrow and the next day! For it wouldn’t do for a prophet of God to be killed except in Jerusalem! O Jerusalem, Jerusalem! The city that murders the prophets. The city that stones those sent to help her.
