A PowerPoint presentation contains: Slides Graphics You should always create a PowerPoint presentation with a specific audience in mind. Organizing Ideas When preparing a PowerPoint presentation, you should: Outline the presentation on paper Organize and condense the information Find the main point you want to get across in each slide and stay focused on it slide An image created in PowerPoint that is displayed on a screen as part of a presentation and can contain text, graphics, sound, video, and animation. The toolbars in PowerPoint are the same ones you have been using in other Microsoft Office programs.

A report that has been created in Word can be shortened and designed as a PowerPoint presentation. When creating a chart in PowerPoint, the Chart menu will appear on the menu bar. Documents with a white background use much less ink when printed than documents with colored backgrounds.
