Plummeting equipment prices due to technology advancements and the supply-demand imbalance. Major demand coming from the EU in recent years with strong growth in Japan (post-Fukushima) and China. Commoditization of solar equipment with China now playing a dominant role in manufacturing. Consolidation, bankruptcies, and value destruction well underway. Trade skirmishes!
