8. Lecture Handouts  The individual lecturers will attempt to point out those areas you should understand.  Will incorporate some notes in power points so as to encourage the students to refer to the text book.  There will not be lot of information in the power points.

9. Lecture Handouts  Power point hand out knowledge may not be adequate to answer the MCQs and RRE.  Hence students are requested to read recommended text books.

12. Attendance  Attending all classes will facilitate your learning process. It will make learning much easier, understandable and enjoyable.  75 % is mandatory to become eligible for end year exam.  Students are expected to be on time for all sessions.  Late comers and students leaving in the middle of the sessions will be marked as Absent.

13. Laboratory Sessions  Wearing lab coat and carrying lab manual is mandatory  Be thorough with the instructions, since mishandling of reagents may lead to serious accidents  Missing of lab sessions to be avoided, since remedial is very difficult.

14. Laboratory Manual  Is already uploaded take the print out maintain neatly it carries marks.  Mandatory to bring to the class during the practical session.  Be on time to the practical sessions.  Students coming late will not be allowed into the lab.

16. Contribution of Marks Assessment Methodology for 1st year Basic Sciences (Semester –I&11)

18. Remedial examinations  No Remedial examinations for continuous assessment during the semester.  One remedial exam for those who are unsuccessful after the comprehensive exam.  One Repeat examination at the end of the Summer vacation.  Repeat exam will consist of both theory and practical.

19. Eligibility for end semester examination  To appear for the Comprehensive Examination a student must have both the following requirements:  An overall minimum mark of 40% in continuous assessment.  A minimum attendance of 75% for the course or combination of course.
