Bicyclists and motorists are equally responsible for safety. Many factors contribute to crashes including inattention, distractions and limited access for bicyclists on roads. Provides materials, information and resources. 10

CHILDHOOD INJURY PREVENTION CONFERENCE 2013 Nice Ride MN Bike Sharing Program The bike share system became operational on June 10, 2010 Phase 1 of the system included 700 bikes and 65 stations throughout Minneapolis In 2011 an aggressive expansion took place adding 51 stations and another 500 bikes. The expansion went to St. Paul and more areas of Minneapolis. 12

13. CHILDHOOD INJURY PREVENTION CONFERENCE 2013 Nice Ride MN Continues to Grow The first season logged over 100,000 rides on Nice Ride bikes By the end of the 2011 season, users had logged an additional 217,000 rides TOTAL NUMBER OF NICE RIDES since inception to October 9, 2012 is 575,000! 13
