Discipline/Consequences E – 1-2 cuts/week S – 2-3 cuts P – 4-6 cuts U – 7+ cuts (this will be an office referral) Automatic – P in conduct and note home for being dishonest or cheating – U in conduct and office referral for threatening another person’s safety (written, verbal, action) or theft

Attendance/Tardies First Bell – 7:35amTardy Bell – 7:45am – Students not IN CLASS at 7:45 are marked tardy – Attendance is taken at 9:30am daily. Students not IN CLASS at this time are marked absent for the day. – Please email or send a note for absences as soon as possible. No note will equate to an unexcused absence.

Homework Reading Log each week – documented in the literacy notebook (150 minutes) Writer’s Handbook assignments as needed to connect with writing projects EDM studylinks, vocabulary, skills link practice Students not completing homework are not prepared for class and will receive a conduct cut. They will also complete the assignment in study hall during recess. Homework should be written in the agenda everyday. Please help your child remember to check the agenda each night.

Grades All parents have access to grades through GradeSpeed. To access grades go to www.houstonisd.org and click on “PARENTS” “PSC LOGIN”www.houstonisd.org at the top of the page it will give them information on how to create a new account and log in step-by-step guide in both English and Spanish that can be downloaded that shows how to do this.
