2 Programs of Study ► Communication ► Registration: course listing, graduation requirements, etc. ► Insert ACP information into this guide at both the middle and high school levels ► Explain the State Mandate ► Provide a copy of your ACP plan

3 Establish and Communicate the Goals of the Academic & Career Plan ► Formulate thoughtful educational plans that reflect rigorous academics in students' chosen career direction; ► Set short term and long term education/career goals; ► Assess personal interests, skills, and values as they relate to career decisions; ► Participate in electives, extra-curricular activities, and community service projects supports students’ career directions; ► Include internships or cooperative work experiences during the 11th or 12th grades.

Outline specific career planning activities that students will participate in during grades 7-12. ► 7 th grade: goal setting, attend Career EXPO, conduct career research, Intro to ACP; ► 8 th grade: goal setting, workplace readiness skills, Commonweath Scholar’s business presentation, interest inventory, career cluster survey, complete ACP; ► 9 th grade: set personal goals, take career cluster survey, attend electives fair, update ACP; ► 10 th : interest inventory, attend Career Fair, review and update personal and educational goals, update ACP; ► 11 th grade: resume, personal goal review, register for internship or coop for senior year, attend career/college workshop, update ACP; ► 12 th grade: prepare resume, establish post secondary educational plan, finalize post secondary ed. and /or job applications, update goals.
