American High School Link Crew. Our Mission: The mission of Link Crew is to create a motivating environment for the new Freshman class each year. Who we are: Link Crew leader are upper class students who are trained to assist Freshmen in learning how things work at AHS and help them become successful high school students. What we do: Link Crew students remain connected to Freshman throughout the year, creating social activities and events that help freshmen assimilate into AHS. SO…..Please encourage your Freshmen student to participate in Link Crew’s orientation at the beginning of the school year, take part in activities, and enjoy the ability to ask questions about our school without fear. It’s A Good Thing!

Algebra Graduation Requirement Requirements may be satisfied in Junior high school or Senior high school. Successfully completing a full year of Algebra I.

California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) Student must take the exam during Spring of their 10 th grade year The exam consists of two parts : English Language Arts and Mathematics If not passed, student must only repeat the un-passed portion of the exam. CAHSEE is offered every year after 10 th grade until both sections are passed.

40 Hours of Community Service Every student must complete 40 hours of service learning hours by graduation. Hours start the first day of high school. What counts for hours? Only pre-approved hours count. Non-profit organization Check the school website for options Check with the Service Learning Coordinator (Ms. Johnson) in room 307 for more information.

How to catch up, if you have fallen behind? FUSD Summer School (no more than 10 credits per summer) FUSD Adult School (must be 16 years old to attend) PASS Program/Cyber High (credit recovery at AHS) Robertson Continuation High School (Alternative HS placement) Other viable options

Honors & AP pre-requisites Honors: Gate Identified Enrolled in honors courses in junior high.
