2 nd Homeroom- February 3 rd - During this homeroom you will complete the 3 Schedule Options Form to take home for parent signature. THIS FORM MUST BE RETURNED WITH A PARENT SIGNATURE BY THE 3 RD HOMEROOM DATE OF FEBRUARY 5 TH. 3 rd Homeroom- February 5 th - During this homeroom your Homeroom Teacher SHOULD HAVE your signed copy of the 3 Schedule Options Form to return to Guidance. If your Homeroom Teacher DOES NOT HAVE your form, a standard schedule form will be created for you that will be used during your IGP appointment. This form is the template for your schedule and MUST BE RETURNED to your Homeroom Teacher.

 Each IGP appointment will be 15 minutes long  Meet with a Career Specialist to discuss career goals and update IGP  Then meet with Guidance Counselor who will review 3 Schedule Options Form, teacher recommendations, transcript audit and graduation requirements to build your schedule for next year.  Students and parents will be able to ask questions during the appointment regarding the scheduling process. If there are still questions at the end of the appointment time, we will be happy to meet with you after all scheduling is done after Spring Break.

 Aiken High Students are scheduled to register based on their grade level classification. (Rising 12 th graders go first, then rising 11 th graders, then rising 10 th graders.)  Appointment times are randomly computer- generated in order to make this process as fair as possible for students to select electives.  You will be given your appointment date and time well in advance of your appointment so your parents can plan to attend your IGP with you.

 If you cannot make it to your assigned appointment time, one of the Guidance Counselors will build your schedule without you based on the 3 Schedule Options Form turned into your Homeroom Teacher and your teacher recommendations so you can still have your priority scheduling slot.  If you want to reschedule your appointment time, we will gladly see you after all scheduling has been completed after Spring Break.  If your parents cannot attend, they can participate with you in your IGP appointment via phone conference. Make sure Guidance has a working phone number for your parent.

 Please be aware that since you are meeting directly with a Guidance Counselor during your IGP appointment to create your schedule, your schedule will be FINAL.  Changes after the IGP appointment will only be made if  You did not pass a class this school year that is needed for a class selected for next year  You do not have a class on your schedule that you need to graduate (i.e. English, Math…etc)  You previously passed a class that is on your schedule for next year  You want to drop a course not needed for graduation for a Study Hall
