Oficina de Estudios y Políticas Agrarias www.odepa.cl 2. POLICIES MANAGEMENT Soil Recovery Programme (SRP), is one of the main policies of the Ministry of Agriculture. Recover the productive potential of the eroded and degraded lands. Implemented by SAG and INDAP, and consists mostly of aid for the recovery of eroded and degraded soils.

Oficina de Estudios y Políticas Agrarias www.odepa.cl 3. SRP The programme supports the following activities: a)Incorporation of phosphorus fertilizers. b)Incorporation of essential chemical elements. c)Vegetative cover establishment. d)Elimination and cleaning. e)Conservation methods.

Oficina de Estudios y Políticas Agrarias www.odepa.cl 4. CHILEAN RESULTS From 1996 to 2008, this program has benefited over 413.000 farmers. Totalizing 2.679.000 ha. During 2011, 171.429 ha. were intervened. This benefited over 18.200 farmers. 18.000 farmers and 170.000 ha. annually.
