Race -"Race" defined - Problems with "race" <Focuses on cosmetic features: Phenotype vs Genotype <Categories are metaphorical, arbitrary and inconsistent (especially regarding “white” and “black”) <There is more variation within some races as as between some races <The myth of “race” encourages notion of which is "best."

Ethnicity - "Ethnicity" defined -Geographic, linguistic, and cultural origins - “Ethnicity” is a more concrete characteristic than is race, and everyone has at least one ethnic identity even if they eschew it. - Examples of “ethnicity” in Canada, and why “Canadian” is not an ethnicity - Race, ethnicity, and Canada's "visible minorities"
