2. General Facts There are around 250 million people living in Indonesia. There are 17,500 islands. The capital of Indonesia is Jakarta. There are 400 volcanoes and 200 are active

3. Location in Asia Indonesia is near Malaysia, Philippines, Australia and Thailand.

4. Language To say hello in Indonesia is halo. To say chocolate is cokelate. To say pro is untuk. To say yes is ya. To say mum is bungkam and dad is ayah.

5. How do people live? The traditional houses in Indonesia are made out of wood, bark and straw.

6. Tourist attractions You should go to Abud Monkey Forest in Indonesia. Another one is Borobudur and also para Luhur Ulawata.

7. Traditional clothes/ food Stir fried vegetables and lots of rice, sometimes meat. They wear gold, black, red and yellow for the traditional clothes because they are lucky colours.

8. Celebrations They set up lights for most of the celebrations. Independence Day is celebrated on the 17 th of August. On Independence Day they cover most buildings in red and white.
