3.  Before I decided to come to King’s for mass communications, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do.  I got into 6 out of the 7 schools I applied at and I was set on going to LIM for fashion merchandising.  After I went to visit LIM, I wasn’t happy with what they had to offer so I kept visiting schools, until I decided on King’s.  Now I am hoping to have a good background in graphic design when I graduate. 4.  I chose this topic because it was an easy topic, and I would rather share something semi-interesting than something extremely boring.  It wasn’t hard to research this; the only research I did was for some information about fashion merchandising, the media, and SPIN Magazine. Belardo 3

5.  Many industries, such as the mass communication industry, can be very judgmental.  You have to have a tough skin to be in the industry.  Graphic Arts are very important because they are all about advertising and persuading people with information. Belardo 4

6.  I took a graphic design class in high school that caught my interest.  Even though I was set on going to school for fashion, I thought I should go to King’s to get a liberal arts education and major in mass communications because it is such a broad major.  I didn’t want to be stuck at a fashion school and end up not liking it. It would have been harder to transfer somewhere else. Belardo 5
