Standard Configuration
Intel Celeron P4 2.0 GHz Windows XPe Operating System 256 MB DDR SDRAM 60 GB HDD Internal DVD-CDRW drive Fiery System 5.5 software Let’s start by talking about the hardware for the EX7750. The EX7750 network color controller is packed with high performance capability. As you can see from the list of the standard hardware configuration, the EX7750 is more than ready to handle any challenging file. Based on a Windows XPe OS, the 2 GHz Intel processor with upgradeable memory is a high performance platform. The system is driven by the new Fiery System 5.5 software. As always Fiery is on the leading edge of digital print. The EX7750 is no exception to that rule. One of the great benefits of this system is the very rich standard feature set. As a standard offering for the EX7750, Impose 2.5 software gives you the ability to quickly and easily impose images to create booklets, brochures or flyers. This valuable tool is an optional accessory. The value of the Impose 2.5 is in the saving of time. Avoid the re-assembly of the file at the client workstation. Rearrange or add pages right at the EX There is no need to recompose and resubmit the job. This cuts down on your design time and reduces that every growing network traffic.

Fiery Features Fiery System 5.5 software includes:
Fiery ColorWise® Pro Tools Free Form 2 - Variable data solution Fiery Driver™ 2 Fiery WebTools™ Fiery NetWise™ EFI Command WorkStation™ 4.2 EFI Command WorkStation™ LE 1.0 (For Mac Users) Let’s now touch on the heart of the system - the Fiery System 5.5 software. The EX7750 network controller includes Fiery’s new System 5.5 software. The standard, familiar Fiery tool set is still there as well as the Command WorkStation. A new development is the introduction of Command WorkStation 4 LE. For the first time, this allows Apple Mac clients to load and use the Command WorkStation software. Note: This CWS LE is only available for Mac OS X users.

Fiery ColorWise Pro Tools
A powerful in-RIP color management system offering all the tools you need to keep quality up, costs down Designed for standard & expert level users When the Color Profiler is added to the Phaser EX7750 the ColorWise Pro Tools bar will appear when selected. Now you have the power of ColorWise Pro Tools. This becomes your primary method of color management. The value to you is the ability to manage the colors of their files without having to revert back to the client and the source applications. This saves time by enabling you to adjust and enhance the image at the EX7750, not at the client.

ColorWise Features Profile Manager Color Editor Calibrator
PANTONE Matching ColorWise functions take place primarily on the server; ColorWise ProTools allows access to these extended server functions. Profile Manager, Color Editor, Calibration are standard modules of ColorWise ProTools. Profile Manager allows users to download ICC profiles to the Color Server – source, simulation, or output. Color Editor gives ability to customize and edit simulations, output profiles (e.g., SWOP, Toyo, DIC, etc.), and color curves. Calibrator gives ability to optimize color output using standard mode (novice users) and expert mode. The Color Server automatically recognizes PANTONE names in print jobs and selects the best engine CMYK match from PANTONE references for the Phaser EX7750 printer.

ColorWise Features (cont.)
Full simulation with output Grey Component Removal (GCR) RGB Separation Visual Color Cal RGB Separation is a feature that lets the user convert RGB information to device-specific CMYK data, enabling the user to proof an unlimited range of options, using the power of Fiery instead of the desktop. Graphic artists who design for CD-ROM and the Internet, as well as for traditional offset, can save time and valuable disk space with the RGB Separation feature. ColorCal’s ability to sample multiple areas of a color patch (up to 32 different areas per patch) provide the data to make the best adjustments for rock solid system calibration. One of the impressive benefits of ColorCal is its ability to calibrate to different media types. This ensures that your system is tuned to the type of media you will be using. This is a big benefit if you are proofing for a magazine or newspaper advertisement.

ColorWise Features (cont.)
Post-RIP calibration Image Smoothing Support for new calibration devices Image Smoothing Post-RIP Calibration: Calibration is applied on the way to the print engine, not during the RIPping process. Jobs can be RIPped and held for your approval and printing at a later date without the calibration becoming “stale”. The image is correct because the calibration is appied to the raw-RIPped file and not a stored, calibrated file. Flexibility is built into the production process by keeping final calibration decisions to the last possible stage of the process. Smooth Scaling: You can automatically apply smoothing to low resolution web images. This allows you to get better images even when the source is not crisp as you would like it to be. You can select settings to define thresholds at which the RIP will start smoothing images (example: below 90 dpi). This can quickly improve the quality of low-resolution images and make your document look better. Support for new calibration devices: The EFI Densitomer ES-1000 is a hand held calibration device offers fast and affordable calibration readings with the click of a button. The X-Rite DTP32HS Auto Scan Spectrophotometer offers both density and colorimetry functions. It can be used with color profiling software as well as calibration software. This allows for precision calibration ensuring consistent and accurate color output.

Command WorkStation 4.2 Interesting Features Mixed Media Support
FreeForm Master Preview Booklet Maker Option Mixed Media Support Key Benefits - The Mixed Media feature gives the user the ability to: Select different media types within a job; these are applied to an individual page or range of pages. Define chapter starts and finishing options for each. Automate additional steps in their workflow. Mixed Media, subset finishing and pulling covers or chapter separators enables the user of digital print engines to take advantage of the fully automated process of digitally printing finished documents with minimal operator intervention. Save time and effort and eliminate the need for had collation. FreeForm Master Preview BIDI enables the Fiery driver to receive / retrieve stored FreeForm masters already resident in the Fiery server. Once queried, the stored FreeForm masters can be retrieved and used as often as needed with multiple sets of variable data. The FreeForm masters stored in the Fiery can also be individually previewed (low res. preview). Because the FreeForm master job is pre-RIPped and stored on the Fiery, the only ripping time required for variable data print jobs is the time needed to rip the variable element data. Individual low resolution previews make it easy to avoid merging variable information with incorrect masters Key Benefits - Previewing FreeForm masters ensures the correct selection of masters and therefore avoids merging variable information with incorrect masters and wasting printing time and resources Booklet Maker Option This feature allows the user to print multiple pages of a print job in a booklet style without the need for more advanced imposition programs. The available options are: ¨ Automatic duplexing of print job ¨ Automatic 2-up imposition ¨ Fixed image size ¨ Supports any output page size supported except custom paper size Key Benefits - The booklet-making feature enables a finished document with less need for operator intervention.
