Biography He returned to California and he was hired by Atari. Jobs took interest in his friend Woz’s new activities. They gained popularity after the Altair 8800 personal computer kit came out in 1975. Steve convinced his friend Wozniak to start a company, and Apple Computer was born on April 1, 1976.

Macintosh Steve Jobs wanted to create a personal computer that was supposed to be cheap and easy to use. 1981 he became the head of the Macintosh project. It took 3 years to develop, and he formed a small group of dedicated, young engineers.

Biography Steve had high standards for his new NeXT machine. He wanted the best hardware, and the most advanced software possible. The system NeXTSTEP was based on UNIX. This came out October 1988, but it didn’t sel because it was late, and it was overpriced. Jobs had failed and he started focusing on his family

Pixar In early 1986, Jobs bought a small group of computer scientists, and incorporated it as Pixar. In the late 1970s the founders of Pixar had a vision of making films using computer animation only. They knew that no computer was powerful enough at the time. They had to wait a couple of decades before their dream could come true.

Pixar Pixar was a small company. In November 1995 Toy Story was released, and it was a huge success. His net worth grew to over $1.5 billion. That’s 5 times more money than apple has made in the 1980s.

iPod The iPod was the first digital music player that people loved, and was a commercial success from the day it came out. The iTunes Store was introduced in April 2003, before that people would pirate music, and burn their CDs iTunes was on Mac only, but it was introduced to windows six months later

How does this change my life? When I was growing up in the 90s, I played tons of video games, watched cartoons, movies, listened to music. I did all of this without knowing about Steve Jobs. Of course I knew that someone had created these things, someone helped to make them better. I didn’t know that he helps with Pixar. One of my favorite childhood movies is Toy Story. I played Atari games. I still see games today that are made by Atari.

How does this change my life? I used to use CD players. I remember going to the music store and buying blank CDs. In the early 2000s I didn’t have the money for an iPod because I was only 8 or 9. so I used to ask my sisters and my mom to buy me Linkin Park, Papa Roach, and Hoobastank CDs. Now I can go on to iTunes and download any song I want.
