WHAT IS THE MARS SOCIETY? Dedicated to promoting the human exploration of space, specifically Mars, through scientific, technical, political and educational means. To further the exploration and eventual settlement of the Red Planet. Introduce and popularize pioneering Mars by broad public outreach. Support of government-funded Mars exploration programs worldwide. Conduct privately-funded and financed exploration of Mars. The San Diego chapter is a local grass-roots group supporting these goals.
