WHAT IS ECO-TOURISM? (UNWTO) All nature-based forms of tourism Objective: observation/appreciation of nature, traditional cultures, education, interpretation Minimises negative impact on environment, helps sustain local communities, supports natural areas by generating economic benefits for host communities Generates nature and cultural awareness Accommodation: ecolodge or standard type hotel
