3. Mrs. Berry grew up in Ste. Genevieve and attended the Ste. Genevieve Public School through the 12 th grade. She is married and has one daughter who is also a school librarian. Mrs. Berry has three grandsons. Mrs. Berry continued her education in her late 20’s, receiving an Associate of Arts from Mineral Area College, BS in Elementary Education from Southeast Missouri State University, and a Masters in Education from Southwest Baptist College. She has a K-12 Library Media Specialist Certification from Missouri Baptist College and will complete her Specialist in Teacher Leadership in the spring of 2010. Teaching all subjects for grades 6-8 at a small school in Coffman was Mrs. Berry’s first teaching position. After 9 years of teaching first grade at Bloomsdale Elementary, her career shifted to the library. She presently teaches grades K-5 library skills at Ste. Genevieve & Bloomsdale Elementary Schools. 7. Main Menu As Library Media Specialist, Mrs. Berry teaches library skills to elementary students. Teaching students to appreciate literature and recognize award winners is also an important part of her job. As librarian, Mrs. Berry also orders books and many other materials for the elementary libraries as well as cataloging those materials into the library system for circulation.
