Step 3: Write your introduction Many Americans today have comfortable homes filled with the latest technology has to offer, and they spend a lot time figuring how to amass more fancy possessions. But not Guy Anderson. Raised in a poverty-level household in hardscrabble Detroit, Anderson lived no man’s ideal life. Inspired by these early personal struggles, Anderson turned his attentions to helping improve the living conditions of others in his hometown. Many current psychologists and scientists posit that people, like Anderson, are wired to want to help their communities. Through his works with the A Home for Everyone Foundation, Guy Anderson is definitely an example a man who shows that, no matter how arduous the challenges, people really do strive to work for the benefit of the group.

Step 5: Writing the conclusion Guy Anderson is definitely a man who highlights the best in humankind. Despite an early life that included several bouts of homelessness, Anderson worked hard and became one of the country’s youngest ever multi- millionaires. Instead of holding on to the fortune, the humanitarian turned his good fortune into a windfall for the underprivileged of his native Detroit. He created the A Home for Everyone Foundation, rescuing over 2,500 families from the brink of poverty and offering them hope and homes. Anderson could have simply kept his wealth for himself, but from an early age, Anderson showed an affinity for helping others. Judging from Anderson’s interviews on his life today, the contributions he had made to his hometown seem to have brought him great happiness. It seems that Guy Anderson proves researchers Zak and Ward correct: helping our community bring us joy.
