3.  School traditions were born in 1926. Our school was destroyed in 60% during the II World War but it was rebuilt with the effort of the whole society.  It always played an important part in surroundings, supported patriotic traditions and was the centre of culture. The patron of school is the most remarkable Polish poet – Adam Mickiewicz. Primary School No. 6 in Jasło

6. - School teaches everybody very well - School marks fairly - School teaches how to think and understand the world - School develops to live in society, teaches about sensibility - School helps to believe in oneself, creates friendly environment - School prepares to the future.

7.  In primary school 21 teachers look after, teach and help in acquiring knowledge of 156 students. Disabled children /manually and intellectually/ are also taught in our school by high educated teachers. In kindergarten 9 teachers work and take care of 123 children from age of 3 to 6. After scheduled lessons our school offers students lots of additional, interesting activities where they can enhance their knowledge as well as abilities.

8.  Our job as teachers is focused on children in order to perceive good in every pupil - it is the main idea with which we start working every day. We are not concentrate only on loud success in competitions, contests etc. but at first on quiet success - maybe the most important, which is called by names of our pupils: Ann takes part in discussion at last!, Maciek can read!, Wojtek’s letters take shapes at last!

9.  Every year our pupils take part in many competitions. They are talented manually and vocally. Children also succeed in knowledge contests.  Our pride and joy is a school football team ‘Szóstka Jasło’ which has been successful on the international stage.

10.  After third and sixth grade our pupils take part in national competence tests, which check their knowledge and skills in science and Polish language.

11.  This is a very important event in our school. During the celebration children become true disciples. First graders are in front of an audience and make promise to be good students. Headmistress puts a huge pencil on their shoulders and accepts pupils’ promise. Afterwards children receive gifts prepared by their older friends and delicacies prepared by parents.

12.  Every year there is a Baked Potato Festival organised in our school. Students gather on the court and participate in competitions and games. Children present their crafts made of potatoes. Parents prepare sweet delicacies, sausages and, last but not least, delicious baked potatoes.
