Review the materials certification process (preconstruction, during construction, and post- construction) to identify and eliminate non- conformities in process Primary Focus: Identify ways to reduce the lead time from Substantially Complete through Materials Certification (signed DT1310) to 45 days. 3

Communication is Key! Resolving issues at lowest level reduces the risk of issues being handled later in the process Material Specifications include a large amount of requirements making the materials certification process very complicated. Bar coding and scanning technologies need to be researched to determine what impact there could be on improving the materials certification process. 15
