Incline In (in, into) + clin Literal definition – lean into Dictionary definition – (v) to be inclined to/toward/to do something – to feel willing to do something; to have a tendency to do something; to lead or turn away from a given plane or direction, especially the vertical or horizontal; (n) a slope on a road, path, or railway Our bus had a hard time making it up the steep incline because it was so big and heavy.
