Eligibility criteria: EMB3 (English/ E Maths/ Best 3) ≤ 11 points

8 (B) Polytechnic Foundation Programme
After GCE N level exams, eligible students will complete 1-year foundation programme (FP) at the polytechnics, before embarking on a 3-year diploma course. Offered in 2013

9 (B) Polytechnic Foundation Programme (FP)
Eligibility Criteria: EMB3 (EL /Math / Best 3) raw aggregate ≤ 11 Top 10% of national N’ level cohort Technology/ IT/ Engineering courses --- EL ≤ 3 and Math ≤ 3 Business/Humanities --- EL ≤ 2 and Math ≤ 3

10 (B) Polytechnic Foundation Programme (FP)
From FP to 3-year polytechnic diploma course: Students who pass all modules during their Polytechnic FP course will be admitted into the first year of their pre-selected* polytechnic courses (*selection: upon release of GCE N level results)

14 FAQs about FP Are students allowed to transfer to different FP course or polytechnic? Students are strongly encouraged to continue with the FP course which they enrolled in. Appeals for transfer are assessed on case-by-case basis

15 FAQs about FP What happens when students drop out from or fail the Polytechnic FP? Not allowed to repeat the FP -Can enroll in ITE’s Higher Nitec Programmes -Appeal to school for admission to Sec 5

After GCE N level, students will pursue 2-year Higher Nitec course at ITE A place in a related Polytechnic Diploma course (either 1st/2nd year) is assured if qualifying GPA is met From 2013, no. of DES places will be doubled to 1000
