2  Miriam was one of the fifty-two people killed in the 2005 London bombings.  Her family and friends decided to respond positively.  They set up the Miriam Hyman Memorial Trust in May 2008 and equipped the Miriam Hyman Children's Eye Care Centre (MHCECC) in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India.

3  In addition to its work in India, the Miriam Hyman Memorial Trust aims to promote understanding and tolerance between different communities.

4  We are going to hold a fundraising event for the benefit of the Outreach Programme at the MHCECC.  We will all be involved in the planning, organisation and running of the event

5  Through your “Miriam’s Vision” B&E module, the fundraising event will be in aid of the Outreach Programme at the MHCECC in Bhubaneswar, India.  For example, £2.50 raised will buy a pair of glasses for someone who can’t travel to the MHCECC.  The theme will be “Appreciating our differences in order to make a difference”  The event will be held in school on…
