Pollution is something that harms and dirties the environment. Example: Black or brown smoke going up into the air is pollution. Ask: What is another type of pollution that you have seen? Transportation is the ways of moving people from place to place. Example: Cars are a type of transportation. Ask: What kind of transportation carries a lot of people at one time? Review: Plans – Drawings or diagrams that show where things go. Technology – The tools and machines we use that help people do their jobs well. Introduce Theme Vocabulary

Forgetful Freddie and the Play Mrs. Gray told the class they would be putting on a school play. Everyone was excited. But Forgetful Freddie was worried. He had to play the part of the king, but he wasn’t good at remembering lines. Freddie wanted to do his best, so he practices his lines with his friend Carla every day. Each day Freddie remembered more and more lines. The day of the play came. When it was Freddie’s turn to talk, he didn’t say a word. (How should we end the story?) Write a First Draft
