Content Your sales presentation or proposal should be simple, but effective. Here is a list of what you should include:

01 Brief overview of your club – number of teams, where you are based, different sections (girls, boys, adult, disability).

02 What role does your club play in the community – different sessions you run, partnerships, what else apart from football if anything?

03 Sponsorship option – what are you looking for from a sponsor? What will the sponsorship money help pay for, what difference will it make to the team? Refer to it as a ‘partnership’.

04 What will you offer to the sponsor in return? Club with FA links – Charter Standard and Respect? What ‘stuff’ do you have to offer them – advertising space, tickets to matches/events, advertising opportunities to parents/fans (e.g. discount vouchers for a haircut to send business their way).

05 PR opportunities – photo call with team in kit, end-of-season awards, association with ambassadors.

06 Summary – four ‘bullet points’ on 1. what makes your club stand out 2. what you’re looking for from a sponsor 3. how it will make a difference and 4. what you will offer in return.
