Prepare a CoreView Project for In-Line Process Measurement Date: Octobre2014

2 High level In-Line Software Modules (Two Unit Case) Unit 1 Unit 2 Cell manager Event Bus \ Gate Way DataBase Supervisor Sequence Manager Rules Manager ISA Notification Manager

3 In-Line Projects Setup – No Shared Alignment Teach 1Teach 2 Part CTO2CTO1 CoreView Pro CTB Visual Setup Package ISA

4 New CoreView Pro Setup Type – Bundle Setup A new CoreView Pro Setup type is introduced in the system named Bundle Setup (ctb) Bundle Setup is similar to a regular cto but it also contains other files required for the In-Line Process. Its main purpose is to bundle the Setups which are used in one measurement cycle. Usually two Setups, one for each unit. To create the Bundles Setup, first you need the two Teach setups, one for each unit. From each Setup export a CTO file. Open both CTO files in CoreView Pro and Unify them. Add Shared Dimensions, Symmetry Points, Report, and images bank for ISA Visual Setup. Export Bundle Setup (ctb file)

5 Unify in CoreView Pro Create a Unified output from both sides Define the Shared Dimensions, Symmetry Points, and Report,

6 Add Slides for ISA Visual Setup Regular report which can also be automatically exported to PDF Bank of regular Images which will be used in the ISA Visual Setup Bank of images which will be displayed in the ISA Visual Setup with updated surface analysis

7 Save Bundle Setup Save Unify as CTB file

8 Bundle Setup files package Exporting to a CTB file will create in the designated folder a group of files: Part.ctn – Our regular Nominal file. It is required to load the CTB in CoreView Pro Output.ctb – This is like the regular CTO file. It is required in case you need to edit the bundle setup and generate a new one. BundleSetup.xml – This contains the Bundle data required to run it. This file needs to be placed in the designated Bundle setups folder. report_data.xml – Contains the data required by ISA to create the Visual setup. Also this file can be used to load nominal data to the Database, when creating or updating part data. VisualSetup (Folder) – Contains the images bank we created for ISA

9 New Setup Type - Assembly A new Setup type is introduced in the system named Assembly This Assembly Setup is used to create the Bundle Setup To create the Assembly Setup, first you need the two Teach setups, one for each unit, ready and approved In the New Assembly Setup, the two Teach Setups are assembled. After Assembly, define the Alignment, two feature dimensions, and report slides. It is also possible to add other dimensions and new features (just make sure that it is possible to compute them). Approve the Assembly project

10 In-Line Projects Setup – With Shared Alignment Teach 1 Teach 2 Part CoreView Pro CTB Visual Setup Package ISA Assembly SetupCTB Do Alignment Here

11 Two Setups The two setups have to be under the same Part The two Setups can be on different computers but they have to use the same Project and Part name

12 Create The Assembly Setup Create a new Setup under the same Part and set the Type as Assembly

13 Open the Assembly Setup Open the new Assembly Setup

14 Assembly Project Select Assembly…

15 Select the Setups to Assemble Select the Setup If the Setup is in a different computer you can select a different Root. You need to add its path to the Root Directory beforehand

16 Assembling Report

17 Add new Setup Select New Project to add another Setup to the Assembly In the Assembly Setup define the Alignment, Dimensions, Symmetry Points, and Report,

18 Export Bundle Setup after Approve Export the Bundle Setup The Bundle Setup can be loaded in CoreView Pro to create the Visual Setup

19 External Features External Features are features which are measured by an external gage External Features can be used in the report and in alignment. External Features can be defined in the Teach Setups or in the Assembly Setup A feature can be defined as External in the Feature Setup dialog Once a Feature is defined as External, it is marked as computed in the Teach project and its actual data is copied from the nominal
