STLP Reflection In a world that is becoming more and more advanced in technology, I believe by participating in STLP I have an advantage over students who do not. Since starting to present showcases in school, I have been more confident in front of audiences. This has led to my winning several speech competitions and being recognized at district, regional and state level. Attending and being a leader in STLP Camp in the summer has helped me to develop skills to work with different groups. These groups have been younger students, my peers, teachers, and local community business members. It has also helped me develop leadership skills which I will need in school and my adult life.
53
Reflection continued:
I have developed skills in the use of many programs which have made my projects in school much more interesting and enjoyable to do and watch. I feel that I have become proficient in Publisher, Powerpoint, Photostory, Videoing, KidPix, Paint, as well as other programs. By participating in this program, I have had many opportunities to grow, visit new places, and meet many new people. I have learned and used what I have learned to do a better job in my classes, with public speaking, and in personal activities I have done just for fun. I have also had the opportunity to teach others. Technology is moving quickly. To keep up STLP is the key.
