Landlord is the person who owns the rental unit Tenant, or renter, is the one who rents the property

Who gets the covered parking and who has to park a block away on the side of the street? The amount of available parking spaces may become more important when considering this scenario.

It is important to choose an affordable living space. Remember that while a person may be able to afford the rent and other costs associated with a living space, they may not have extra money to go to the movies or even buy groceries for example.

Add in expected costs to compare the two
