1 The Video Conferencing Pilot. An Educational Project AIM: To raise the profile of Video Conferencing as a tool for teaching and learning and to create a Cornish Pool of expertise that can be used to support and train other schools for the future. OBJECTIVE 1 I can plan a transition project between primary and secondary schools using live satellite links and Video Conferencing to enhance teaching and learning and “enjoy and achieve”. Objective 2 I understand how to formulate a VC development plan and can justify its use to enhance teaching and learning.

2 The Plan  Half day planning in schools for Lead teachers in project. Half day trialling activities with sample pupils. Dates to be given to LD by end of 6 th June.sample pupils th June.  6 th and 7 th June- Whole day planning between partner schools. Subsequent project.  June/September One day- visiting year 7 teachers to year 6/ year 6 teacher to year 7. Dates to LD.  28 th November - Review of Project, moderations and Development plans approved.

4 Objectives for the 6 th June…  To understand how idea of AFL can be included in transition work  Can use ideas of active engagement techniques, literacy support, modelling and pupil assessment to enhance SOW.  Can use VC training and guide to assist in training of staff in schools.  Know the types of ideas that can be used for future development projects of VC.

5 Outcomes for the 6 th June…  To complete Transition SOW that runs from Primary to secondary level and to give dates to LD to include half day planning and trialling with pupils.  To include pupil review and learning journal as part of assessment of teaching and learning  To plan questions to accompany VCs in schools  To complete first planning document of Development projects using information from today’s VCs

SOWs must be saved on memory stick with NSC questions And development plans with school name. 28 th November is the review date for the SOW and will be held at the Cpr Learning Space.
