Selected Comments: One-to-One O I can't afford to buy or rent a computer while also paying for school supplies and everything else children need O I don't know if we could affort (sic) it, but I've heard great things about schools who have done this and think it is a good idea O I'm pretty much open to all of the ideas and think they are great ideas for the students. I can participate in any of the 4 options. O I am unsure about the program without more information on the supervision of content available to students when I'm not there. O I don't think computers/technology should be a major priority. I would like to see more critical thinking programs. O I wouldn't want my 1st grader taking a computer home & back to school. O as long as the kids have fun learning!

22. More 1:1 Comments O iPad deployment 1:1 with all textbooks loaded. O Sounds like my kids would enjoy their school work more if they did it this way O Computers are great and unavoidable in this day and age. However, there's nothing [that] can replace human interactions with children O The School District should provide this. O I like the idea esp. for upper grades. However, having five children makes me anxious about 'costs' O I am a bit torn on this one… With three children needing a computer, and not being sure of what would be needed, I would lean a bit more towards the rent-to-own option so that I know they are getting what they need, and an initial, upfront expense is spread out a bit. I'm also afraid that new technology would demand new needs every few years or so

23. Still More About 1-to-1 O For use at school, it would be easier to keep at school and use the home one at home. O I am a parent would be more willing to fund raise to help finance more computers. O [I’m] not familiar with 1-1. however I do believe it would be beneficial for my son as he is mentally and physically disabled and he does much better work on an electronic device versus paper and pencil. O Online access to textbooks is important to offer. Why do we not offer keyboarding at a younger age? Is cursive still a needed component or could we substitute keyboarding in that time? O It seems like this sort of thing is the way our society is progressing. I think technology can be a useful tool but under no small circumstance should our children participate in their adolescence through a computer screen.
