What does fileProGI Cost? What would it have cost me to re-write my existing application to GUI if it had been written in character-based dBase, FoxPro etc.? Would I been able to add simple point and click, cut and paste functionality to my application without any programming changes? Would I be able to run both GUI and Character- based at the same time? Do I really understand that fileProGI is NOT a terminal emulator and adds far more functionality than an inexpensive terminal emulator does?
48
What value does filePro represent? What is the value to me of having a much more competitive and modern looking product/application? What is the value of having new GUI based functions available to my users/customers? What is the value to my business to be able to generate additional revenue for these new enhancements? Am I willing to make the necessary investment to potentially generate thousands of dollars of additional revenue?
49
What are we really selling? We are NOT selling fileProGI We are selling the enabling technology that allows our developers to make significant enhancements to their traditional character-based applications at a reasonable cost to their customers We are selling…

…ability to program the use of integrated images
51
…ability to program the viewing of pdf etc. files

What are Developers saying about fileProGI fileProGI has sold "itself" to my current clients and made my applications more attractive to new ones. The first month I sold 3 six-user packages and have orders for 3 more installations. I have been able to add new features to my software besides the obvious mouse control, particularly having filePro launch Window applications and pass data. These include: adding truck pictures to vehicle files; launching Microsoft Works with "canned letters" and address data supplied from a filePro record and document imaging (to view shipping documents) using Adobe Acrobat accessed from the filePro record. Future enhancements seems to be only limited by your imagination. I found the fileProGI Server and fileProGI Client software very easy to install and most of my applications worked very well with just a few code changes. Chuck Mullen, Online Systems Inc
