History Wrocław University of Technology was founded in 1945 In May 1945 a group of 27 professors from the University of Lvow arrived to Wrocław In the destroyed buildings of Technische Hochschule Breslau, which had existed since 1910, they started the Polish academic society Wrocław University of Technology was established on 24th August 1945 by the National Council of Poland
