Use lenses to find patterns Decide how to compare: Text evidence Word choice Structure Point of view Then choose an excerpt from each text Use the patterns to develop a new understanding of the text What is a new idea you had about both books based on the lens you looked through? the author(s)’ choices? the messages these texts send?
