When students obtain such a degree, they become entitled to work in a specific field, performing activities which are exclusive to those professions. At present, there are two kinds of university degrees which confer such an entitlement: bachelor’s degrees and master's degrees.

Universitat Politècnica de València www.upv.es Regulated professions requiring a master’s degree In the 2014-2015 academic year, those master’s studies that qualify those who complete them (i.e., qualifying master’s studies) for practising the regulated professions of engineering and architecture have begun to be taught at the UPV. Qualifying master’s degrees have been designed on the basis of a specific degree of reference, and together with it they constitute an integrated study programme.

Universitat Politècnica de València www.upv.es Doctoral School The UPV’s Doctoral School is the university structure responsible, from an academic and administrative point of view, for the UPV’s doctoral studies. It is therefore responsible for the training of researchers carrying out their research activities with the aim of obtaining a PhD degree.
