Wakefield Community School in cooperation with family and community is committed to providing a safe learning environment for each student to attain a quality comprehensive education. The school community is dedicated to prepare all students to be critical thinkers, lifelong learners and responsible/productive citizens for successful participation in a global society.

Wakefield School students will improve reading comprehension across the curriculum. Wakefield School students will increase student’s critical thinking and problem solving skills in mathematics. Wakefield School students will improve their character, leadership, and pride in school and community.

Last year, attendance rate went above 90% Highest it’s been in several years. This means there are fewer kids who have several absences

GET INVOLVED Be involved…this is YOUR school! Build your “resume” while you’re here Join a group, a club, a sports team, an organization Find a way to get involved It has been PROVEN that belonging to a team or organization helps you do better in school…and it builds your resume

RESPECT Self, others, property, WAKEFIELD SCHOOL This of course includes classroom behavior (our goal of keeping you engaged and not disrupting that in any way) but also: Hallway behavior Lunchroom behavior Language Keeping hallways and locker rooms neat and clean

Good Sportsmanship Good fan behavior Happy atmosphere Homecoming activities with elementary Compliments from other schools Tornado Relief efforts This shows that you have respect for our school

DO NOT ACCEPT FAILURE Don’t accept the F just because you didn’t feel like trying. We are here to help you. Have PRIDE and RESPECT for yourself to do the best you can in school. Build your resume!!
