2. Like The Sun Just as scorching midday sunshine Beating down on land and sea Draws out harmful, excess moisture strengthening each fruitful tree, So our Father sternly points us To a life of sacrifice, Drawing out all harmful weakness Burning up all trace of vice. 2/42/4

3. Like The Sun Just as gentle rays of sunset Wrap the world with warmth and grace, Call a halt to toil and worry Slowing down our frantic pace, So our Father’s loving kindness Grants us wonderful release, Bids us lay down all our burdens fills our hearts with joy and peace. 3/43/4

4. Like The Sun Like the sun, which disappearing Leaves the world in cold dark night, but returns to us each morning Bearing gifts of warmth and light, So our Father in His wisdom May appear to hide His face. We are sure of His returning, Bearing gifts of love and grace. 4/44/4
