North Carolina Regional Areas 8 “RttT is Race to the Top, a federal initiative that is designed to prepare students to meet the challenges of the 21st century. NC was fortunate to receive nearly $400,000,000 to ensure that every NC student is college or career ready upon graduation. Our positions as Regional Professional Development Leads are one part of the grant, and we will be training a cadre of local professional development leaders in each district across the state. They will, in turn, provide ongoing professional development (pd) in their districts.” Robin Loflin-Smith
