But with so many choices, finding the option that works for you and your employees is the hard part. For some time, Humana has been shifting our approach to improving overall health and well-being. This includes addressing the obesity epidemic and expanding our weight management strategies. As a result, we’ve partnered with the best in the industry, Weight Watchers, to provide you resources that encourage long-term healthy behaviors and drive the kind of engagement that leads to real results. By offering a solution that is easy for employees to participate in, personalized to their needs, and rewards them to stay motivated–just think of the positive impact you can have on your employees’ lives.

Service Options within Weight Watchers Program: Weight Watchers Meetings: Monthly Pass (Meetings and OnlinePlus) – in person meetings for peer-to-peer support, weight-loss mentor, verified weigh-ins, weight loss strategies, and access to online resources on nutrition and weight management. Weight Watchers Online (OnlinePlus) – access to online resources on nutrition and weight management. Follow the Weight Watchers program entirely online with digital tools, mobile apps, Cheat Sheets, 24/7 Chat with coaching and restaurant finder and more.

Enrollment into Weight Watchers Program
Eligibility: Determined by Weight Watchers Individuals that have identified themselves as being overweight, i.e. BMI ≥ 25 Individuals 18 years and older (some exceptions) The member must be willing to record their height/weight information within the Weight Watchers website. Enrollment: Humana Member Registration Process myHumana.com website Health Program Page Diet and Nutrition Page Humana’s HumanaVitality Enrollment Process Individuals that have set a weight loss as a goal and chosen Weight Watchers as an activity to meet their goal. Customer Care Humana Inc. Customer Service Weight Watchers Customer Service *All registrations for the program will be completed through the Weight Watchers website.

Where Do Member’s Register for Weight Watchers?
Weight Watchers Website Registration: The member will be required to enter all information within the Eligibility Checker. It is imperative that the member enter the information as it is displayed on their Humana card. Humana is sending eligibility daily to Weight Watchers based on information within our system. First and Last Name, Zip Code, Birth Date Personal ID, Organizational ID Once the member has been determined eligible they will be presented the Offering Selector. This screen will allow the member to choose HOW they would like to participate in the Weight Watchers Program. Meetings and OnlinePlus OnlinePlus The Offering Selector page will give them specific information regarding their program choice. If the member has choose the In Person Meetings option, they will need to choose a location in which they will participate using the Meeting Finder. This works based on zip code information entered, will choose nearest locations.

Weight Watchers Franchise Information
Weight Watchers does have some locations that are considered Franchise Locations. These locations ARE NOT ELIGIBLE for the Humana Subsidy or Discount. We should encourage the member to pick another location or to utilize OnlinePlus option. *Members will be presented a message if they choose a Franchise location. “This meeting location is locally owned and operated. Meetings at this location are available at local standard rates.”

Weight Watchers Website Registration
Now that the member has entered their eligibility information, picked an option, and determined a location, the member is ready to create their profile. The member will create a unique Username and Password. They will use this each time they need to log into the Weight Watchers website. The member’s demographic information will pre-populate onto the registration screen. The member will need to enter their Height and Weight information directly in the website. The BMI used for eligibility will be calculated behind the scenes and used for the final eligibility determination. If the member does not meet the program eligibility requirements they will be presented with the NOT PHYSICALLY ELIGIBLE screen communication. If the member is determined ELIGIBLE, the member will be sent a Monthly Pass to show a proof of enrollment and can begin participating immediately online. On the Confirmation Page, member can choose to print their card and start immediately attending in-person meetings. A Welcome Receipt will present confirming all information.

Personal Nurse Program Health Coaching Program Personal nurse initiates contact with member following a new diagnosis, change in medications, or certain tests or procedures A member interested in weight management programs will be provided the information around weight management programs and if interested in Weight Watchers program, the nurse will provide specific instructions on engaging with Weight Watchers Certified coach helps member set goals and create personalized action plan to improve overall health through changes in lifestyle behaviors Member enrolls in Health Coaching by visiting “MyHumana”, selecting during health assessment, via mobile app, or my selecting as a goal within program A member interested in weight management programs will be provided the information around weight management programs and if interested in Weight Watchers program, the health coach will provide specific instructions on engaging with Weight Watchers HumanaVitality Weight Watchers A rewards program designed to incentivize health and wellness Participants have the ability to set goals and activities to help member manage and improve their health and well-being Members selecting weight goal will be provided an activity around Weight Watchers program and given specific instructions on engaging within Weight Watchers program The name of the activity will be “Participate in a Humana Weight Loss Program” Weight management education and engagement Onsite Program (In-Person Meetings, Meetings and OnlinePlus) and Online Program (Web-based Self-Service Program, OnlinePlus) Web based and Mobile Application Community support Closes the gap and creates new opportunities for our members around management of their weight

Weight Watchers Program Cost and Discount Pricing Fully Insured: Humana Inc. will pay for FI membership to participate in Weight Watchers. 6 month benefit, 100% paid benefit for each member that engages in the Weight Watchers program. Membership receiving a six month benefit can continue the Weight Watchers program at a discounted rate until the following plan year begins. Cost to Member: Weight Watchers Meetings (Meetings and OnlinePlus): Monthly Pass - $35.95 Weight Watchers Online (OnlinePlus) - $15.95

Subsidy vs. Discount AND Participation
The subsidy / discount options will renew each plan year. Meaning at the start of the plan year, the member will once again be eligible for 6 months of subsidy and then the discount for the remainder of the plan year. The member must register with Weight Watchers each plan year, just as they must re-enroll in benefits with Humana each year. If the member is not able to participate at least once every 30 days, they will be offered the discount program instead of the free/subsidy membership. The member will not be eligible for the subsidy until the following plan year.
