Pulley
4
Inventor Archimedes invented the pulley. He invented the pulley so you don’t need to apply so much force to move something.
5
Pulley Here we have a crane, well, and a boat with a pulley on the top.
6
3 Pros. And 3 Cons. About the Pulley
The pulley is good for its help throughout our lives. The pulley helps us carry heavy things. The pulley helps us to not apply more force to move something. A bad thing is there should be a automatic pulley. It would still be hard to pull something if we did not have a pulley. It should be easer to pull the rope or chain.
7
How Life Would be Different Without The Pulley
Life would be different without a pulley because we would have to apply more force to move something.
8
Pulley Questions 1.Why is there a pulley?
Answer: so it will be easer to pull something 2.Why is the pulley easy to use? Answer: so we can apply less force to pull something 3.What types of pulleys are there? Answer: a crane, “well”, boat, and a flagpole
9
3 Questions to Answer Who invented the pulley? Answer: Archimedes
2. Why did a person invent the pulley? Answer: so you don’t have to apply so much force to move something 3. How does the pulley work? Answer : a wheel and a rope, the rope around the wheel and it applies force to what the pulley is moving

Wedge
20
Wedge A wedge is a piece of wood or metal thick at one end and sloping to a thin edge at the other. If you look on the left there is a piece of wood and metal.
21
Wedge It would be a lot harder without a wedge. It would also take a lot of work. The wedge was first founded in Australia.
22
Wedge The inventor of the wedge is unknown.
23
3 pros and 3 cons The wedge is good for many reasons.
#1: Instead of having to lift you can just push. #2: You can even make a ramp for a bike. #3:You can even do it with an any hole . Find a stick a stick and put it on the hole. The bad things are. #1: You can fall off one. #2: They can brake if it is to much weight. #3:Also it can fall if it’s not on right.
24
Wedge Here is a example. You need a nail, two thick books, and plastic lid. Take the nail and push it through the plastic lid. That is the example.
25
Question Time 1. Is the inventor known or unknown? Answer: Unknown
2. Would life be hard without a wedge? Answer: It would be hard 3. Where is the wedge found? Answer: Australia

lever
28
Lever Archimedes is the inventor of the lever.
29
Lever The lever is a helpful tool to use. it also can help by not making things complicated. The lever is a good tool because it will help you a lot.
30
Lever Without a lever our life would be different because a lever is a tool that you can use every day. Without it you would have to try to think of a way so you don’t have to do so much work. Also a lever can be very important because it can help you when you are sick or in the hospital.
31
Levers Three things I like about it is: you can staple your papers together, you can stop your bike with your brake handle, and also you can open doors with their handles. Some things I don’t like about it if you use it continuously it might break like a door handle, stapler and finally the brake on your bike.
32
levers Q-what everyday tool has a lever? A-a stapler
Q-who invented the lever ? A-Archimedes Q-how do they help? A-they can staple our papers, stop us on our bike and we can open and shut doors
33
Levers What are two levers? Who invented the lever? How do levers help us?

THE LEVER
36
ARCHIMEDES ARCHIMEDES is the inventor of the lever and many people believe that he was born 287 BC and died 212 BC.
37
HOW THE LEVER WORKS I believe an example of a lever is a hammer, a wrench, an arm and a seesaw.
38
LIFE WITHOUT THE LEVER Life would be different without this machine. we wouldn’t be able to lift things as easy as we can now. and we would be more tired and it would take a lot more effort.
39
3PROS AND 3CONS ON THE LEVER
3 PROS: It helps us move stuff, it makes things easier for us, and different examples are a see-saw and a tank barrel. 3 CONS: It might take up time, It will take up space, And it might break.
40
Questions and answers What are levers? Levers are things that help you lift other things. When was the lever created? No one really knows. What is the lever used for? The lever is used for lifting things.
41
Questions Who invented the lever? What are ways the lever can help us?
What are some reasons the lever will not be good for use.

The wedge
44
The Wedge The caveman was the person that invented the wedge and this was around 7,000 B.C.
45
The wedge Some examples of wedges are axes, wood splitters, and swords.
46
The Wedge The wedge helps people cut wood like the axe cuts the wood.
The wedge is one of the best inventions. Also a wedge makes a flat surface of the wood.
47
The Wedge A reason the wedge is a good tool is because you can split wood with it. A reason the wedge is not a good tool is because it is heavy so it makes it hard to move for someone that is small.
48
Wedge What is the wedge used for? It is used for splitting wood.
Why did they invent the wedge? To help split things. What year do you think the wedge was created? It was around 700 B.C.
49
Wedge Do you think the wedge is a good tool?
Were the cavemen actually intelligent? Do you think the wedge has inclined plane involved in it?

Wheel Axle The person who invented the Wheel and Axle is unknown because it was such a long time ago. It is said to have been around 8,000 B.C.
53
3 pros and 3 cons Pros: The Wheel and Axle helps the earth because it is not motorized. Easy transportation. Easy to move. Cons: You could fall. You could get hurt. It could brake.
54
Wheel Axle Life without the Wheel Axle would be different because we would not have transportation. Also we would not be able to go any where.
55
Wheel and Axle Some examples of the Wheel and Axle at work are cars, skateboards, and bikes. They all have long sticks and wheels at each end. Life would be different without the wheel and axle because we would not have transportation.
56
Questions and Answers What does the wheel and axle do?
The wheel and axle gets us where we need to be. What does the wheel and axle look like? The wheel and axle is a long stick with wheels. Is the wheel and axle helpful to the earth? Yes because it is not motorized.
57
3 questions What is the wheel and axle made of?
What things have a wheel and axle? Why do we need the wheel and axle?

The inventor A n inclined plane was invented by nature examples are ,a hill , slope, mound, dune. the Egyptian workers used it to make the pyramids and many other things are neutral inclined planes
61
Real life examples Real life examples are a high way you can drive up and down, a hill or a ramp can help.
62
Pro and cons of inclined planes
one pro is that it makes it so much easier to make things easy to push or pull One con is that it is very easy to break
63
An inclined plane is a tilted slope which makes it easer to carry because it is a smaller trip. Life would be different because it would make things harder you lift.
64
Questions Do you think life would be hard without it. yes
Can it be formed from volcanic rock. No it can easily crumble. Do you think it help on a regular basis. yes
65
Questions Are incline plane good spot to skate on?
Can they be in water? Are they always big?
