2 The Diploma Program Only IB program in our school system. One of only 28 DP programs in NC, 796 DP in the US, and only 2,462 in the world! A program since 1999 68% earned the diploma in 2013 / 96% in 2004 – average overall 83% diploma rate. Rigorous and high quality education that prepares students for college and life. 21 Making plans – The middle school student 7 th graders – “Success 101” through NCVPHS 8 th graders – World History through NCVPHS Algebra 1 in the 8 th grade Study hard and make good grades As and Bs are required for admission. Learn to study! Good study skills will make IB much easier! You must start your high school career as a Gryphon. Must take all compulsory classes in 9 th and 10 th grade.
