1 SportSpot Proposal to establishments

2 The short and sweet SportSpot is a service FREE to establishments, that automatically replaces the advertisements displayed during sporting events with your own. We give you the power to advertise YOUR product on YOUR TVs, instead of giving away that real estate to the broadcaster. If you broadcast the audio of sporting events, our service can switch that to music during commercials as well.

3 How it works (a diagram is listed in the addendum) We install our system in-line with your audio-visual equipment. –If applicable, our HDMI switcher isn’t necessary to install if your video distribution setup allows for remote command via IR, and can accept another HDMI input. You provide a schedule (in advance) of which networks, and at what time, you will air. Our system will recognize an advertisement and remotely switch your AV equipment to the appropriate settings. *a central operator is also used as backup There is a kill switch should there be any glitches.

4 Advantages 1.Increase your sales. You take charge of your TVs, promoting your menu / specials / upcoming events to your patrons while their buying temperature is hot. 2.Major beer companies will be our partners, see #3. 3.Advertisements are intrusive, and detract from the experience of watching the game. Many establishments now are switching to music manually during commercials. Our system frees up whomever is responsible for switching to music, allowing them to focus more on your customers. 4.Do not allow other establishments to advertise to your patrons. 5.The system can be used to constantly rotate your ad before and after games.

5 Why free? Along with your ads, we cycle 6 different ads during the game. Often local businesses that are relevant to our patrons. This also shows that you are community driven. Your ad is viewed 3 times as often than any other ad. Your ad is viewed during every commercial break, and the first ad shown during each period. You can have up to 7 different ads promoting your establishment rotated per game. Your ad can be updated daily.  * see addendum for an example of ad distribution *

6 Concerns It is of the utmost importance that this service only enhances the experience of your patrons. We only allow non-intrusive, visually appealing ads to be displayed. Other Bars / Restaurants are not allowed to advertise, avoiding any conflicts of interest (unless they are under the same ownership). The process is as seamless as possible. Should there be an issue with the system, it can be simply disabled.

7 Why not do it yourself? You could install a DVD player with your ad on loop and manually switch over during commercials. But by partnering with SportSpot, you offer a much better experience to your patrons. Staff is not burdened with this task; free to help serve. The process is seamless and none of the program is lost (pretty annoying for patrons while your staff was busy). You can use EVERY TV to display your ad, instead of allotting some for watching when the game is back. Your TVs are more engaging, instead of just a static image. You show you are community driven, allowing local businesses to advertise, instead of large corporations.

8 My proposal A test run during the NHL playoffs. If once the playoffs are over and you enjoy the advantages that SportSpot has to offer, we sign a long term contract. My promise I will work closely with you, taking in your invaluable feedback, to improve the experience for you and your patrons, and increase your sales as much as possible. I will constantly improve the service, expanding features (goal siren, trivia night, etc.) and finding new ways to bring you value. thank you

10 Example of ad distribution Each period of NHL hockey has 3 TV time-outs of 1m30s. During intermission, there are 3 commercial breaks: 2-3m. Each ad is 30s long.
