11 11 Finding Opportunities Go to Grants.gov and click Find Grant Opportunities on the left hand navigation.

12 12 Finding Opportunities The Find Grants Opportunity screen is displayed. You can search for grant opportunities by clicking on the Basic Search link (arrow) or the Browse by Agency link (asterisk).

13 13 Finding Opportunities If searching by Agency, scroll down and click on Department of Transportation. Note: There is no separate entry for FTA.

14 14 Finding Opportunities If doing a Basic Search enter a keyword(s), a Funding Opportunity number or a CFDA number then click Search.

15 15 Finding Opportunities The Search Results page is displayed. All the available opportunities are displayed. To view an opportunity, click on the opportunity’s title link (see arrow).

16 16 Applying to an Opportunity This page displays details about the opportunity. See the next screen for a close up.

17 17 Applying to an Opportunity To apply for this opportunity click the Application link at the top right.

18 18 Applying to an Opportunity The Selected Grant Applications for Download screen is opened in a new window browser. In the table at the end of the page, click the download link located in the Instructions and Application column.

19 19 Applying to an Opportunity The Download Opportunity Instructions and Application screen is displayed. To download the SF424 application click link number 2. Download Application Package.

20 20 Applying to an Opportunity The SF424 is opened as a PDF file. You must move SF424 Mandatory Form and Attachments from the Mandatory Documents box to the Mandatory Documents for Submission Box.

25 FTA Office of Program Management 25 Find Opportunities You MUST attach the corresponding Supplemental Form (application profile) to the SF424 or the proposal will be invalid and not reviewed by FTA. You can attach the Supplemental Form at the end of the SF424 pdf.

26 Finding the Supplemental Form 26 To find the Supplemental Form for the Program you are applying to, go to the Grant Programs screen and click on the desired Program link.

27 Finding the Supplemental Form 27 Click on the Supplemental Form and Instructions button.

28 Finding the Supplemental Form 28 The Supplemental Form will open up as a PDF file.

29 Supplemental Form Tips  All fields on a Supplemental Form MUST be filled out, unless instructed otherwise. Leaving fields blank will mark your submission as invalid.  Use the Validate Form button located at the top right hand corner of the supplemental form to make sure no required fields were left blank.  The sum of the Budget Line items listed in the Supplemental Form must match the Estimated Funding amount in the SF424 form. If these amounts do not match, DGS will mark the submission as invalid. FTA Office of Program Management 29
