The residual action items are summarized as follows: 1) SPOWG 99-20: Open Direct Soundings ARP to determine resources needed for NESDIS to provide accurate temperature and moisture retrievals from sounder channels of SSMIS. NESDIS participating in SSMIS Cal/Val. a.FNMOC is interested in assimilating profiles before attempting direct radiance assimilation. b.NCEP would like to evaluate radiances, resources permitting. 2) SPOWG 00-12: Open Provide feedback on SPP Program Management Plan including Configuration Management plan.
