As the practical side of teacher education has been reinforced, both schools have been granted a higher degree of autonomy. With their professional programmes they aim to achieve the most up-to- date educational objectives. In addition to hosting the field work of students, the two schools serve as methodological training centers. Foreign language education and teaching computing and informatics skills are, but two of the important tasks of the practice schools.
