3  There are three ways to be born with a genetic disorder:  1. Too many/not enough sex chromosomes  2. Too many body chromosomes  3. Mutation of genes

5  Too many sex chromosomes:  Klinefelter’s syndrome (male)  Triplo X syndrome (female)  Extra X chromosome  Infertility  XXY or XXX

7  Too few sex chromosomes :  Turner’s syndrome  Only one sex chromosome (X)  Short stature  Webbed neck

9  Too many body chromosomes results in down syndrome  47 chromosomes instead of 46  Impairment of learning ability  Minor physical abnormalities
