20 Receiving Information Information automatically arrives when the ignition is on and for a short time after the ignition is turned off. A wake-up timer checks for new information periodically, even when the ignition is off – typically once an hour. Starting or idling your vehicle is not necessary. Information is stored until you are ready to read it. When you are sleeping, you can turn the volume down completely for both alerts and voice.
