London 2012 Business opportunities Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) £6bn spend 2,000 direct contracts 50,000 supply chain opportunities Construction and Corporate Now through 2011 London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games & Paralympic Games (LOCOG) 5,000 direct contracts 25,000 supply chain opportunities ‘Putting on the show’ Ramp up from 2010

What is being brought? Venue design, construction, fit-out & overlay –Starts with architectural drawings & ends with complete event site –Project management, engineering, health & safety, cost control, materials selections, security planning, construction delivery & fit-out, materials, building services, construction management, control systems, surfacing, transport Event delivery –Focus on Games-time delivery although planning & procurement will start earlier –Legal services, project finance & insurance services, event management, education, marketing, media & PR, waste management, temporary overlay, catering, ticketing, security Legacy –Post event which transfers the event site into ‘fit for purpose’ site for its planned future use –Facilities management, dismantling of temporary facilities, landscaping, construction services, conferencing & exhibition facilities, sport legacy (sport equipment, consultancy etc) -Wider activities organised to engage and celebrate the event

Venue design, construction, fit-out & overlay –Construction started on all major venues –Flow down into supply chains –75 out of 96 major T1 construction contracts let –73 out of 92 major services & corporate contracts let –LOCOG procurement schedule published (£700m) –LOCOG – procurement started - £80m to date Event delivery –Launched London 2012 Food Vision –Launched ODA: London 2012 Transport Plan –City Operations – currently being established –Torch Relay – initial discussions about vision and route –Live Sites - 20 big screens operating at locations across the UK
