12 Work with Government, its agencies & others to ensure parking services are delivered fairly and responsibly Campaign for better recognition and understanding of how and why parking is managed Lobby for a single standards setting body for management of parking on private land Develop a Professionalism in Parking Award (PiPA) to identify those who provide excellence in parking Invest and collaborate with government & stakeholders in the development of new and improved Codes of Practice and Charters where raising standards is a priority. Promote Professionalism

13 We will support and enable the use of renewable energy, solar power and low- emission vehicles. We will encourage our members to invest in their people enabling them to become professionally qualified. We will endeavour to increase the number of Park Mark® awards and campaign for greater awareness and investment in life-care planning for all parking facilities We will enable regeneration and economic viability of our towns and cities Advocate Sustainability

14 We will work with DMUK, Living Streets and others to promote the development of common standards in the management and enforcement of parking on footways and areas used by pedestrians. We will encourage greater use of enforcement powers to tackle blue badge fraud. We will seek better protection and respect for people delivering parking services and for a reduction in abuse and malicious behaviour towards them. We will work closely with the Information Commissioner to ensure that motorists’ data is properly safeguarded and, where data is acquired for parking management purposes, that it is used appropriately and in accordance with the law. We will support the DVLA in their enforcement activities where this helps to improve the proper registration of vehicles. Challenge Perceptions

15 We will encourage investment and innovation in new and existing technologies to improve the delivery and management of parking services. We will drive innovation, investment and social responsibility in the design, maintenance, operation and management of all parking facilities and services We will work with our members to ensure CCTV and ANPR are used fairly and responsibly, providing benefits to operators and motorists. We will encourage the development and provision of systems and applications that support ‘connected mobility’ and emerging travel planning tools. Encourage Innovation

21 Transport Hub 2015 Hub partners run a series of fringe events at the three main party conferences with panel of MPs and speakers Sunday night round table dinners with invited MPs ‘Big Interviews’ with Ministers hosted by DODS Dedicated website, branding on literature, media/PR and marketing activity The Hub is looking for new partners!
